Tim Kornegay, Urban Alchemy’s Director of Operations in Los Angeles, is a lifelong resident of the city with a distinguished career in justice transformation and community advocacy. As Statewide Director of Initiatives for LiveFree California, he led 20 Black-led organizations across the state while concurrently serving as the Co-Director of the Southern California Ceasefire Committee. He has spearheaded teams behind some of the most influential legislative measures in Los Angeles City and County, as well as across California, passing important legislation like Proposition 17, which restored voting rights to individuals who are on parole. Tim has also helped register thousands of justice-involved voters and continues to work with numerous coalition organizations with a collective mission to reduce homelessness and community gun violence and end mass incarceration while increasing rehabilitation options across city, county, and state agencies.
