That’s why we began our street cleaning services in Los Angeles’ Skid Row and San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhoods. Over the years, we’ve cleared more than 500 tons of trash. We also pick up used needles, helping make neighborhoods not only cleaner but safer.
As one of our most visible units, Urban Alchemy’s Clean Teams remove garbage and debris from streets and other public places. But, this is not just about picking up trash. This simple but meaningful service restores a sense of pride to neglected neighborhoods, improves safety for residents, and often serves as a first point of contact with unsheltered neighbors. Clean Team Practitioners use their role as an opportunity to provide service with dignity, connection without judgment and resource without hassle. In the process of cleaning, Practitioners engage with residents, housed and unhoused—building transformative relationships and turning neglected spaces into safe, welcoming communities.
