Jeff Dickey has been with Urban Alchemy since very early on, having previously worked with Dr. Lena Miller at Hunters Point Family. Like many of the organization’s top leaders, he is formerly long-term incarcerated, having served 22 years before being paroled in 2017. His life profoundly changed after he was stabbed during an altercation and pronounced clinically dead before being resuscitated. After this experience, Dickey turned to his faith for guidance and became a leader in his chapel in prison. He also focused himself on other productive activities and became a manager in the fabrics shop. After working at Hunters Point, Dickey joined Urban Alchemy as the Director of its Mid-Market Projects, where he supervised the early development of the Ambassador Program. He later moved to Portland to launch Urban Alchemy’s projects there. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
