Chris Canter is a seasoned nonprofit professional who brings over 30 years of experience advocating for transformative strategies that change lives, restore families, and revitalize communities to his role as Director of Development at Urban Alchemy. He began his career at Walden House (now HealthRIGHT 360) and went on to hold leadership positions at a range of respected organizations, including Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula and LifeMoves (formerly Shelter Network).
Chris is motivated by the challenges he faced as a young adult and is immensely grateful there was an organization there to help him rebuild his life. This personal experience fuels his passion for helping others overcome adversity. In his spare time, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife of nearly 30 years, their twin sons, and friends. He also enjoys cooking and hiking in the great outdoors.
