American cities are overwhelmed by people struggling with extreme poverty, mental health issues, addiction, and homelessness—unintentionally creating chaos in public spaces.
While debates on these issues lead to gridlock and inaction, there is unimaginable suffering and death on our streets daily. Many feel helpless as conditions in our cities get worse. Divisive ideology and outdated service models continue to fuel needless debates and inhibit forward progress. At Urban Alchemy, we believe most people simply want effective solutions that will help those in need while restoring health and safety in our public spaces.
Our relationships with our city partners are the core of Urban Alchemy’s successes. We currently operate in seven cities, uniquely tailoring programs to each site’s needs. We offer hope and progress by providing well-paid jobs to returning citizens who foster deep connections with the community.
